Exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a globally recognised business on a temporary 15-month contract based in Cork is now open to applicants. The successful candidate will become a member of the wider Finance team with global interactions with vendors and suppliers alike. This is a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements. Key Responsibilities Processing all vendor invoices on SAP and adhering to month end reporting deadlines. Payment of vendor invoices in a timely manner. Management of vendor accounts including reconciliations and handling of enquiries. Processing and management of employee expenses. Processing of bank reconciliations. Supporting month-end end activities such as accruals and prepayments. Supporting and participating in Finance process improvements projects. Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities that will contribute to the more efficient management of the Finance process. Working with the Accounts Payable Manager to strengthen the controls framework, ensuring compliance and minimising risks. Liaising with suppliers and contractors as required to manage the vendor relationships in an effective manner and to enhance the reputation of the business with these stakeholders. Preparation and filing of Indirect tax returns in multiple countries (VAT, VIES, Intrastat) liaising with Tax Department Support audit-related activities as required. Other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager. Skills Required 2+ years previous in an EMEA based Accounts Payable role is essential Business related qualification desirable Experience within an international working environment desirable SAP and Oracle experience is a distinct advantage Excellent knowledge of MS Office package especially Excel necessary Excellent organisational skills Fluent English essential Skills: Oracle SAP Accounts Payable Payments
