Job Description

Emergency Helpline Operator role requires a calm and empathetic individual to provide support and reassurance to customers in need, working 24 hours a week with a competitive salary of EUR 15,849.60 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Speak to customers to help with a wide range of enquiries, from providing reassurance to calling emergency services when necessary.
  • Assess each call and select the most appropriate follow-up procedure to ensure the easiest and most effective solution for the customer.
  • Maintain the Response Centre database to a high standard of accuracy, ensuring confidentiality of the data while adhering to our safeguarding and GDPR policy.
  • Respond to calls effectively and efficiently, ensuring customers receive reassurance, comfort, and assistance in a calm and friendly manner.
  • Handle housing repair calls from a variety of customers, ensuring the appropriate contractors are called.
  • Carry out outbound calls to vulnerable customers to comfort and reassure.

Requirements:

  • A great listener, able to confidently communicate over the phone and have a reassuring tone and empathetic nature.
  • A confident IT user, able to pick up new systems quickly.
  • High attention to detail, able to accurately record information on our systems.
  • Calm and collected, with a friendly and reassuring tone and empathetic nature.
