Employee & Industrial Relations Manager opportunity – Permanent – Dublin
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a multi-award winning Irish organisation, as they look to introduce an Employee & Industrial Relations Manager on a full-time permanent basis.
The successful candidate can be primarily based in Cork or Dublin.
The role:
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive work environment within an organisation.
You will work closely with business leaders and line managers to diagnose people priorities, create people plans, and help implement organisation-wide people approaches.
The main responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing effective Employee Relations strategies.
- Providing all Employees with trusted council and advice in all matters employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR) related.
- Leading on negotiations with trade unions, as required, to deliver positive commercial outcomes.
- Managing all third-party referrals to the Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court and Industrial Tribunals (UK).
- Leading on the people aspects of change management initiatives, as required.
- Supporting the upskilling of Line Managers and employees on employee relations, employment legislation and best practice.
- Ensuring a coordinated and consistent case management of ER matters.
- Collaborating with Heads of HR and HR Business Partners on ER data insights, trends and opportunities to drive proactive solutions.
- Acting as an internal point of appeal in grievance / disciplinary cases (where required).
- Contributing to key engagements events with relevant HR practitioners and managers, through Webinars and workshops.
- Supporting key strategic projects as required, including acquisitions.
- Supporting HR projects and other HR work, as required.
The successful candidate:
- 5 years+ experience in a senior HR role with a focus on industrial relations and employee relations in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in leading negotiations with trade unions.
- Experience in third-party representations in the Republic of Ireland, i.e. Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court.
- Detailed knowledge of current Republic of Ireland employment legislation.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Degree in HR/Business/Law or related discipline or relevant experience.
- CIPD or equivalent an advantage.
