Job Description

Our client, a global organisation is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor who will play a pivotal role in creating a fair, supportive, and compliant work environment. As their Employee Relations Advisor, you will be the primary contact for employee relations issues, providing expert guidance on HR policies, employment law, and best practices. Youll collaborate with management and employees to ensure a consistent, fair approach to workplace matters, while promoting the companys values and mission. Role Overview: Employee Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for managers and employees on employee relations issues, offering expert advice on grievances, disciplinary actions, performance management, and redundancy processes. Work closely with managers to address performance concerns, handle employee grievances, and manage disciplinary procedures, ensuring adherence to legislative and company policies. Lead the resolution of complex ER cases, ensuring a consistent approach aligned with employment law and best practices. Assist with organisational change initiatives such as TUPE transfers, restructuring, and redundancy programmes, ensuring compliance with regulations. Represent the company in third-party hearings, including WRC Adjudications and Labour Court hearings. Develop, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with current legislative updates. Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to upskill managers and employees on key HR topics such as conflict resolution, performance management, and compliance. Promote employee engagement initiatives, encouraging a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. HR Support and Business Partnering: Support the HR Business Partner in managing a high-volume ER caseload, ensuring cases are handled with discretion and sensitivity. Establish strong relationships with business leaders to understand their needs and offer tailored HR solutions that align with the companys commercial agenda. Act as a trusted advisor, coaching and mentoring managers on effective application of HR policies and employment practices. Policy Development and Project Work: Participate in HR working groups, contributing to the development of HR policies and procedures that support business goals and regulatory requirements. Lead or support various HR projects aimed at improving workplace culture, employee relations, and overall organisational effectiveness. Compliance and Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with company policies and employment laws, maintaining up-to-date documentation for all employee relations activities. Take an active role in promoting workplace health and safety, identifying potential risks and ensuring best practices are followed. What Youll Bring to the role: Experience: Demonstrated experience in an employee relations or similar HR role, with a proven track record of handling complex ER cases, conducting investigations, and resolving employee conflicts. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations, including experience with TUPE transfers, redundancies, and WRC submissions. Skills: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Personal Attributes: Empathetic, assertive, and professional, with the ability to influence and guide managers and employees. Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture. Qualifications: CIPD qualified and/or a relevant degree in Human Resource Management or related field. Why Apply?
