Your Role: The ER Specialist will provide support to the People Experience Team and Employee Relations Manager by managing less complex employee relations cases, developing the Representative Bodies relationships and provide general support for the team. The ER Specialist is responsible for: 1. Employee Relations Administration & Preparation 2. Industrial Relations Support 3. People Experience Support 4. Risk, Compliance and Metrics reporting This is a critical role in the development of the Representative Body relationship and ensuring that the Bank, management and colleagues are provided with appropriate HR advice and support. The ER Specialist must act objectively, impartially and with the best interests of everyone in the workplace. Your Responsibilities: Support with the preparation of materials for any negotiations processes with the Representative Bodies including the annual pay review Provide support / manage less complex internal investigations, disciplinary, grievance or appropriate processes Provide support in the preparation and submission of materials for external hearings such as the WRC, Labour Court or appropriate body Schedule Representative Body meetings, assist with materials, prepare minutes for key stakeholders and support with any follow on actions Develop communications for internal and external stakeholders regarding Industrial Relations matters Support with policy updates and embedding new updates / learnings within the Bank Support with the development of the annual colleague conduct learning for colleagues Continuously contribute to the improvement of the Employee Relations processes and systems. Provide guidance on best practice approach to investigations and other formal processes Support with the implementation of alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation or other informal processes Foster a culture of fairness, awareness and issue prevention to reduce the likelihood of issues emerging in the workplace Ensure that all relevant policies, information and documentation is up-to-date and compliant with best practice, legislation and Bank policy Provide regular case updates to relevant stakeholders to raise awareness around workplace issues and how to prevent them from arising Support the policy, process and procedures that the People Experience team are responsible for Contribute towards an environment of knowledge building and awareness surrounding HR issues for management and colleagues Provide support to the wider People Experience team to ensure deliverables are achieved Seek out and lead on process improvements to create a better overall experience for all colleagues in the workplace Provide general administrative support for the team such as invoice processing and monitoring Research, monitor and ensure compliance with existing and emerging employment legislation Keep up-to-date with all relevant employment law legislation and recent case law Support HR's adherence with industry compliance and regulatory requirements Actively contribute to a risk aware culture that is aligned to the risk appetite of the PTSB Manage the Bank's internal Group Risk and Control Matrices (Risk and Control Self-Assessment and Event Management) Requirements: Very strong verbal and written communication skills Strong understanding of employment law, natural justice and fair procedures Good overall understanding of HR and related practices Experience / knowledge of conducting workplace investigations, disciplinary and other processes Ability to act objectively, fairly and impartially Desire to balance the interest of both Bank and colleague Relevant professional qualification This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract Based in PTSB's St. Stephens Green, Dublin.
