Seeking an experienced Tax & Compliance Manager to oversee tax and compliance matters across Ireland, the UK, and Europe for a contracting firm.

Job Description

Manage tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions, design strategies to minimize tax liabilities, and ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations.

  • Manage tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Design and implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the group's tax position.
  • Ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations at local, national, and international levels.
  • Prepare and review tax documentation, including returns.
  • Act as a liaison with tax authorities and external auditors to address tax-related inquiries or issues.
  • Provide tax guidance and support to senior leadership and internal teams.
  • Stay up to date with tax law changes and assess implications for the business.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic tax planning.
  • Handle global mobility tax matters, including compliance for employees on overseas assignments.
  • Work with HR and payroll to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting for international staff.

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce compliance policies and procedures.
  • Perform regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Offer training and guidance to staff on regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of compliance reports to relevant authorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Master's or relevant tax qualification is a plus).
  • At least 5 years experience in tax (experience in construction is beneficial).
  • Strong understanding of European tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage complex tasks independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office.
