Position: Associate - Energy Reporting to: Partners in Energy & Renewables Contract Type: Permanent (Hybrid work model) The Opportunity: Our exclusive law firm hiring partner's Energy, Renewables, Utilities & Climate Action group is recognized as a leader in the field, comprised of skilled legal professionals who have been involved in pioneering and complex energy-related projects in Ireland for more than 25 years. The group supports clients in all facets of their energy operations, such as project development, financing, environmental compliance, planning matters, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), regulatory guidance, and corporate transactions. With unparalleled expertise in the energy, renewables, and climate action sectors, as well as vast market and regulatory experience, this team offers a unique opportunity to grow your career in a collaborative and driven environment. Our team is engaged in transformative projects central to Ireland's energy transition. For example, we recently provided counsel on the 700MW Celtic Interconnector project, with a capital cost exceeding €1.6 billion. Additionally, we advise EirGrid on securing Temporary Emergency Generation services and other security supply matters. We also work with the world's largest data center provider on their development projects and complex energy requirements. Our team supports both onshore and offshore renewable energy projects, including strategic investments, contributing to Ireland's ambitious 2030 climate action targets. As part of this team, you'll play a vital role in advancing these efforts. The Ideal Candidate: You are a qualified solicitor with a background in energy and renewable projects or have experience in corporate or finance law, paired with a strong interest in the energy sector. You are excited to contribute to Ireland's electrification and decarbonization targets for 2030 and 2050. You have between 2 to 6 years of post-qualification experience within a reputable corporate law firm. You are eager to enhance your skills in the energy, renewables, and climate action sectors through continuous learning, team support, and exposure to a wide variety of clients and transactions. You have strong academic credentials. You value teamwork, clear communication, efficiency, and responsiveness in your work. You are passionate about delivering excellent client service and enjoy fostering long-term relationships with both clients and colleagues.
