Engine Leasing Tax Senior - Shannon, Ireland About the Job: We are partnering with a leading company in the aerospace industry to find a skilled Tax Senior to join their Finance team in Shannon. This role is integral to supporting the tax function within a dynamic and growing organization. The successful candidate will assist in global tax compliance, international tax planning, managing tax audits, and other key tax-related matters, contributing directly to the company's financial and operational success. Key Responsibilities: Support the tax function in tax reporting and compliance obligations for the company and its subsidiaries, covering various tax heads such as Corporation Tax and VAT. Assist the business team on tax matters related to the leasing, purchase, and sale of aircraft engines, shop visits, and other major decisions. This includes but is not limited to new product design, financial analysis, international direct and indirect tax issues, global permanent establishment issues, withholding taxes, and the application of double tax treaties. Assist the tax team in the preparation of tax accounting for all entities, both domestic and international, including return preparation and filing, tax payments, deferred tax accounting, and tax account reconciliations. Ensure the adequacy and functionality of all tax processes and information systems used within the business. Assist in managing domestic and foreign tax audits and responding to information requests. Manage relationships with external service providers and tax advisors, including oversight of tax return preparation and review of tax opinions and advice. Support structural changes within the business, such as setting up new subsidiaries, wind-ups, and restructurings. Assist in developing and managing the transfer pricing policy to ensure consistency with global tax requirements and monitor compliance with the established policy. Serve as the focal point for all compliance subjects in relation to the subsidiaries, ensuring that each subsidiary is compliant with local tax laws with the support of local service providers. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Institute of Taxation in Ireland or UK qualification, or equivalent international tax qualification. Minimum 1+ years of relevant tax experience, particularly in tax compliance. Proven ability to manage large-scale projects in a complex environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and business teams. Ability to work independently, plan and prioritize tasks, and think strategically. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tax preparation software. Willingness to travel, sometimes on short notice.
