Servisource is recruiting an Engineer for a permanent contract in Sligo. The successful candidate will manage contractors, develop operational plans, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Servisource is a leading provider of engineering services in the public sector. We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team in Sligo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage contractors to deliver operational targets and quality standards
- Develop contractors to improve performance and deliver a more rounded service
- Promote a commercial culture in engineering operations to maximise revenue and reduce costs
- Actively promote a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and customers
- Support the implementation of engineering strategies and develop own contribution to the business
- Act as a visible role model for the company's values
- Plan and manage operational plans to efficiently carry out roading operations
- Assist in preparing the engineering budget and forecasting production and financial targets
- Organise and supervise staff, contractors, and resources to complete operational roading programs
- Implement quality control systems and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Provide accurate and timely production information and field data capture
- Manage the roads grant application process and road consent and planning permission process
- Ensure compliance with forest certification standards, corporate governance, and standard operating procedures
Desired Technical/Professional Competencies:
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering equivalent to FETAC Level 7 or related discipline
- Minimum of two years experience working in an operations role
- Commercial and financial acumen to focus on financial and commercial implications of activities
- People management skills to manage contractors and/or staff
- Regulatory compliance knowledge and experience to promote a safe working environment
