Job Description
Seeking a Packaging Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in medical device packaging design and development to join our team.
This role involves working with design teams and suppliers to develop new packaging solutions, creating packaging designs from concept to final release, and managing multiple projects to meet established timelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing packaging procedures, design rules, and guidelines
- Creating and maintaining component specifications for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging
- Developing and conducting testing of packaging
- Interfacing with internal product sustaining engineering team to define package design solution
- Managing multiple projects to meet established timelines
- Developing an understanding of Stryker package manufacturing processes
- Representing the company in corporate initiatives to develop standards for packaging verification and validation
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in medical device packaging design and development
- BS/BA or equivalent in a technical field such as Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and project management skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of QSR and medical device packaging systems
