**Engineering Shift Manager** **Summary:** Lead electrical maintenance teams to deliver equipment reliability and implement lean processes in a fast-growing Irish whiskey production facility. This position requires working day and evening shifts on alternating weeks. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role involves supporting the development of electrical maintenance teams, implementing modern processes, and standardizing procedures to improve equipment performance. The successful candidate will assist the Engineering Manager in leading and developing the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams, executing the Packaging maintenance program, and ensuring equipment reliability meets modern manufacturing standards. They will deliver modern and effective reliability/asset care processes, standardization, and lean principles to continuously improve equipment performance. **Key Responsibilities:** * Assist the Engineering Manager in leading and developing the mechanical and electrical maintenance teams * Deliver modern and effective reliability/asset care processes and standardization * Implement lean principles to continuously improve equipment performance * Lead the maintenance team to best in class in lean principles * Invest in and develop a culture of accountability within the engineering department * Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environment, and quality legislation, procedures, and standards in the workplace * Champion and embed a safe work environment * Be Real, Be Remarkable, Be Responsible, and role-model the Irish Distillers Values * Embrace and support a competitive and collaborative High-Performance team mindset * Lead in the transition to a lean manufacturing principle and structured problem-solving culture within asset care and equipment reliability * Monitor equipment performance/downtime and analyze trends to continuously improve reliability * Lead and participate in improvement projects using relevant Lean principle tools * Adhere to leader standard work for the role **Requirements:** * Experience leading a team and strong understanding of how to develop a high-performing team * BEng Degree (Mech, Elec, Mnf) or equivalent * Strong Lean manufacturing experience, minimum green belt or equivalent * Ability to act as a trusted coach, manage performance, and enable the development of assigned team * Strong financial awareness, understanding of business drivers, budgeting processes * Experience in the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) **What We Offer:** * Profit share: an annual profit share scheme to reward your contribution to the company's success * Product allowance: an annual allowance to spend on our portfolio of products and merchandise * People Development: continuous development for our people at every stage of their careers * Family leave: fully paid maternity, parent, and paternity leave * Health & Wellbeing: a wellbeing program supporting employees across the three main pillars: Life, Body, and Mind * Charity Days: up to 2 days paid leave every year to volunteer at a charity of their choice
