This role is with a successful Irish organisation which can offer further advancement opportunities, ideal candidates will come from a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with previous experience in manufacturing or heavy industry operations. Requirements: 7+ years experience ideally in a similar role or working environment with a qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Proven technical skills and possess strong commercial acumen. A solid Project Management skillset, paying attention to detail and thinks strategically. Able to demonstrate previous success with contributing to and improving performances. Excellent communication, IT, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to lead teams. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Lead the team of engineers, supervisors, professionals, and tradesmen in delivering the required plant performance. Provide strong leadership in improving safety awareness and employing best practice throughout the plant in line with company policy and relevant legislation. Lead continuous improvement work streams in safety, environmental and operational excellence. Oversee all Maintenance work on site. Maintain a highly motivated team in achieving a preventative / predictive orientated maintenance system. Manage various maintenance related projects and plan & execute annual shutdowns. Prepare annual maintenance budgets, review cost incurred in relation to budgets, forecasts and act where necessary. Actively participate in the recruitment, identifying & development of talent within the department. Participate in the resolution of any industrial relations disputes using established procedures. Effectively manage an efficient Stores Department. Manage the Plant Control System and local IT Systems. Undertake other duties as required from time to time.
