Lead a Multifaceted Engineering Department
A top-tier Engineering Department leader is sought to spearhead a newly formed department, overseeing new product and process development, process optimization, and environmental functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Strategic Manager of multiple technologies, ensuring optimal flexibility and minimal risk of write-off losses
- Develop and implement systems, procedures, and protocols to meet Quality Management System and Design Control requirements
- Maintain and direct a team of highly qualified employees, providing project participation to support both Litec Moulding Limited and LINDAL Group activities
- Interface with other members of LINDAL Group's Management Team daily
- Develop and implement a complete asset management system, including maintenance functions
- Identify and select best value technologies
- Prepare annual operational and capital expenditure budgets
- Manage agreed budgets, hire, and day-to-day management of projects
- Deliver profitable on-time product/project launches
- Prioritize and drive the execution of multiple complex department projects
- Sponsor and support value improvement in operations
- Ensure efficient and timely transfer of process knowledge and training of production team members
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement
- Initiate cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve production/engineering issues
- Manage employee development, ensuring adequate training for operational and health and safety requirements
Your Profile:
A highly organized, motivated, and enthusiastic individual with a goal-focused attitude and ability to work effectively with other functional areas.
Requirements:
- Possess a minimum of a Degree in Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment at a senior level
- Demonstrate expertise in project management
- Possess strong competencies in resource management in a complex demanding environment
- Be technically astute, numerate, and possessing excellent analytical ability
- Be a confident team player with a quality-focused approach and innovative problem-solving skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, dealing with people and situations at all levels
- Possess strong people management skills, written and verbal communication skills, and effective presentation skills
- Have knowledge of latest plastic injection mould tool, metal stamping, and automation technology
- Possess a good understanding and application of quality standards, lean principles, and technology deployment
