Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to take on an exciting new challenge? A leading company in the pet foodmanufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Engineering Shift Craft Technician to join their dynamic team in Longford. This role offers a chance to work with cutting-edge machinery and contribute to the efficiency of a high-performing production environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and plant services, covering mechanical and electrical systems. Handle repairs and maintenance of components, sensors, steam systems, air, and water systems. Work with PLC systems (Siemens/Allen Bradley), electrical cabinets, and testing equipment for debugging and system development. Ensure preventative maintenance tasks are carried out to high standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical support to ensure optimal plant performance. Ideal Candidate: Qualified to a Senior Trades level or holds a relevant Electro-Mechanical qualification (FETAC Level 6 or equivalent). Strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, including experience with pumps, valves, controllers, and packing equipment. Competence in PLC programming, electrical containment, sensors, and other electrical systems. Safety-focused with a solid understanding of GMP and quality standards. Excellent team player with good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Willingness to work in a shift-based role, with flexibility to adapt to business needs.
