About the Role: We're hiring skilled Engineering Technicians to join our dynamic team in Dun Laoghaire. In this role, you'll be key to ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, working on the installation, maintenance, and modification of production equipment. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and modify a wide range of production equipment. Troubleshoot issues, reduce downtime, and fine-tune machinery to optimize output. Support the validation of new and existing equipment, including acceptance trials and debugging. Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and local engineering shops. Analyze and address customer complaints and internal quality issues, driving continuous improvement. Train and mentor fellow Engineering Technicians, new recruits, and apprentices. Participate in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives, using appropriate quality tools. Maintain accurate records and reports on all engineering-related activities. Utilize IT and processing systems, including SAP. Ensure a high standard of safety and housekeeping, addressing any unsafe conditions. Qualifications and Experience: A third-level qualification in Engineering or a National Craft Certificate, along with specialized training. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems in high-volume manufacturing. Proven experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a scientific approach to troubleshooting. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in relevant PC skills. Shift Pattern: 4-Cycle Shift Pattern: 2 x 12-hour days, 2 x 12-hour nights, followed by 4 days off. embecta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
