Job Description
Engineering Team Lead required for a Co Cork based medical device client to lead a team of engineers and technicians, develop manufacturing procedures and processes, and drive operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include supervising and leading a team, developing technical expertise, driving operational excellence, and providing design for manufacture input on new product developments.
Requirements include a NFQ Level 8 in Engineering or lower degree with suitable experience, 5+ years' experience in a similar engineering role, excellent equipment knowledge, and a compliance mindset.
Key skills include people management and development, project management, and design for manufacture.
Reporting to the site Engineering Manager, this role will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians to achieve operational excellence.
- Supervise and lead a team of engineers and technicians
- Develop key manufacturing engineering procedures and processes
- Develop the technical expertise of the team
- Drive operational excellence through engineering activities within the team
- Develop, drive and support projects as required
- Provide design for manufacture input on new product developments as required
- Liaise with equipment suppliers and perform machine acceptance tests
- Produce and manage training plans for the team
- Produce capacity plans for products through manufacturing process
