Job Description
Squarespace is seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead the Email team in building and growing a customer-centric experience.
As a hybrid role, you will split your time between our NYC office and remote work, reporting to the Engineering Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team of software engineers, including project planning and technical leadership
- Developing direct reports through regular 1:1s, direct feedback, coaching, and mentoring
- Owning the overall planning, execution, and success of projects that improve the product experience
- Collaborating with the Product Manager, Product Designer, and Engineering team leadership to develop a team roadmap
- Collaborating with product teams across the company to execute on the team roadmap
We are looking for a leader with:
- 2+ years of experience leading teams of three or more engineers
- People management skills, including a consistent record of mentoring and coaching team members
- Proven ability to communicate technical issues effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to create and execute detailed plans accounting for ambiguity, dependencies, and technical complexity
