Job Description
We are seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead the Email team in building and growing a customer experience that is intuitive for customers.
The Email team is responsible for providing customers with the ability to create email aliases for their domain and purchase inboxes for their domains. The team aims to build a customer experience that is seamless and user-friendly for customers who are either Domains only customers or using Squarespace to establish their online presence through websites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of software engineers, including project planning and technical leadership.
- Take an active role in career development of direct reports through regular 1:1s, direct feedback, coaching, etc.
- Own the overall planning, execution, and success of projects that will improve the product experience.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager, Product Designer, and Engineering team leadership to develop a team roadmap that balances both product goals and technical investments.
- Collaborate with product teams across the company to execute on the team roadmap.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience leading teams of three or more engineers.
- People management skills, including a consistent record of mentoring and coaching team members.
- Proven ability to communicate technical issues effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
- Proven ability to create and execute detailed plans accounting for ambiguity, dependencies, and technical complexity.

Cash Compensation Range:
$153,500 – 247,250 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant experience and location, among other factors. In addition to the cash compensation above, all employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
