Job Description
We are seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to maintain one of the world's largest information system infrastructures. Key responsibilities include: * **Safety**: Maintain highest safety standards, encourage a world-class safety culture, and remediate safety risks/issues in conjunction with other teams. * **Engineering & Facility Operations and Maintenance**: Operational experience with electrical and mechanical equipment, including: • Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS's) • Switchgear • Circuit Breakers • Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS's) • Diesel Generators • Chillers • Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) • Exhaust Fans • Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's) • Transformers * Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA's) * Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment * Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance * Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required * Ability to work shifts * Knowledge of safe electrical practices according to guidelines set by relevant electrical safety supervisory bodies * Professional Electrical or Mechanical Certification * Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory * Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications About the team: AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
