As an Engineering Technician - Packaging, you will be responsible for maintaining high-volume packaging machines, identifying and driving OEE and waste improvements, and working closely with production and maintenance teams to resolve daily issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct support to production and maintenance teams to resolve daily issues and assist with troubleshooting.
- Applying learnings from breakdowns and performance issues to improve preventative maintenance practices.
- Planning for repairs, overhauls, or improvement work, including spare parts management.
- Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and local engineering shops.
- Assisting with customer complaint and internal quality issue analysis, and drawing up improvements and preventative actions.
- Training other engineering technicians, new recruits, and apprentices as required.
- Participating in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives, working in teams and utilizing quality tools.
- Maintaining recording and reporting systems, and ensuring high standards of safety and housekeeping.
