Manufacturing Specialist
Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes, identifying and implementing solutions to technical issues, and maintaining equipment to optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and improve OEE metrics, yield, and downtime, communicating critical events and implementing recovery plans.
- Support equipment changeovers, implementing SMED to reduce changeover times and improve efficiency.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, optimizing PMs to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage spare parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime.
- Design and improve jigs and fixtures to meet manufacturing requirements.
- Ensure safe systems of work, reporting hazards and adhering to site safety rules and instructions.
- Collaborate with production teams to prioritize daily and weekly tasks.
- Minimize energy consumption and environmental impacts associated with maintenance activities.
- Contribute to the improvement of OH&S, Environmental, and Energy Management systems.
- Train production operators on process equipment and product specifications.
Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and manage multiple tasks.
- Positive attitude and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and previous trade experience or technical qualification.
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Lean Six Sigma certification highly desirable.
