Job Description

Role Title: Enhanced Primary Care Nurse Role Location: Balally and other locations as required A 30 hour per week (0.8 FTE), permanent position has arisen within Vhi for a nurse to carry out screening of patients within our screening centres and also in our corporate sites. The role is to support the enhanced primary care CNM2 in the delivery of care to the highest clinical standard across enhanced primary care.Benefits: Excellent company Pension Health Insurance Income Protection Role Purpose Carry out medical screenings and primary care nursing requirements of patients to the highest clinical standard. Work as part of a team to ensure patients receive an excellent clinical and customer-focused experience. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives and take a proactive role in identifying and suggesting areas for improvement. Support screening services within our nationwide screening centers and corporate sites as required. Support project work in the development of new initiatives within the Screening and primary care services. Align to Vhi values. It can be amended from time to time with reasonable notice to the role holder.Education & Experience Minimum of 3 years post-graduate clinical nursing experience within the past 5 years. Full clean Driving Licence. Must be registered on the General Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Certificates of competence in: Venepuncture Infection Control and Hand Hygiene Basic Life Support Manual and patient handling Experience of working in Primary care or a health screening environment is desirable. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Phlebotomy Primary childhood and adult vaccinations ECG/ABPM Ear syringing/suctioning Wound care/suture removal Chronic disease management Lifestyle management Medical screening Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Professional, courteous manner. Competent in computer skills. Flexibility to travel across multiple locations as required.
