**Job Summary:** Highly skilled ICU nurse required to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with the clinical team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. **Job Description:** Blackrock Clinic, a leading private hospital in Ireland, is seeking an Enhanced Staff Nurse to join its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a key member of the frontline team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide skilled practical care to ICU patients, participating in the monitoring, planning, and evaluation of individualized patient care * Work as a member of the nursing team on day duty, performing duties as allocated by the Clinical Nurse Manager * Deliver a holistic support service to patients and their families, addressing their multifaceted needs * Ensure safe practice in the storage and administration of all drugs, adhering to local policy and Department of Health/NMBI guidelines * Supervise the nursing practice of less experienced staff members, participating in educational aspects of that practice * Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date records and written reports, as required and guided by NMBI recommendations * Ensure correct and economical use of Unit stocks and materials, and the safe and correct use of all equipment * Document all necessary care given on the Meditech Patient Information System **Requirements:** * Fully registered in the general division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI * At least two years recent relevant post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting, with a minimum of two years nursing experience in ICU or CCU nursing * Hold an up-to-date Basic Life Support course or be in pursuit of same * Excellent clinical skills, IT skills, quality focus, risk management, clinical audit, and team work * Strong interpersonal and communication skills **Why Work at Blackrock Clinic:** * Competitive salary * Onsite parking * Pension * Annual bonus * Discounted café * Sports and Social club * Employee Assistance Programme * Discounted onsite pharmacy **Note:** * Job descriptions are a reflection of the present service requirements and may be subject to review and amendments to meet the changing needs of the service. * Blackrock Clinic is an Equal Opportunities employer, committed to creating an environment that promotes equality and dignity at work. * Blackrock Clinic is committed to providing reasonable accommodation when needed.
