Job Description

Purpose: Uniphar is embarking on an ambitious, multi-year transformation program and is seeking an Enterprise Architect to oversee technology decisions in one of our divisions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing complex IT environments, with a focus on Digital Transformation to deliver outstanding Digital Capabilities to our clients and partners. The Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our systems and improving business outcomes for our clients and partners. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document, design and maintain scalable and efficient enterprise architectures. Document as-is architectures to enable strategic business discussions, fostering business improvement and business case options. Define to-be architectures that meet strategic business needs. Work with our Solution Architects to ensure any solutions align with strategic objectives. Conduct thorough assessments of existing solution architectures and propose improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency. Ensure repeatability, scalability, disaster recovery, and other non-functional requirements are captured in all solution architecture designs. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our architecture capabilities. Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement in line with organizational goals. Design and own Architecture Review Board for your Division, aligning to wider Organisation Architecture Processes. Engage with vendors to evaluate and select solutions that align with business requirements. Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships to ensure service level agreements are met. Conduct regular vendor reviews to assess their alignment with evolving business needs. Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities and ensure that solutions align with their expectations. Work closely with project managers & architects to understand upcoming project demands. Identify and assess potential risks associated with solution architectures and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact. Develop and implement change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new solutions and minimize disruption to business operations. Report task updates and status reports to any relevant project streams. Prioritize work items and tasks based on project or program guidance. Key Skills, Experiences & Competencies: Experience defining Enterprise Architect Principles and managing by exception. Proven leadership skills with a focus on fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Ability to inspire and lead teams toward achieving strategic goals. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with retail and digital systems. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Proven ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Experience with patient data and GDPR law would be beneficial. TOGAF Certification would be a plus. Good working knowledge of Azure and other Cloud Platforms. Good working knowledge of Business Productivity Platforms such as Microsoft 365, Teams & SharePoint. Ability to evaluate vendor performance and make data-driven decisions.
