Job Description
Job Summary: Conduct daily inspections and investigations to ensure waste legislation compliance. Investigate complaints, inspect waste facilities, and gather intelligence on illegal activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and audit waste producers, facilities, and collection permit holders.
- Collect and manage data, and conduct overt and covert surveillance as needed.
- Prepare reports on non-compliance and suspected breaches of legislation.
- Liaise with enforcement bodies and provide evidence in court cases.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Degree in Environmental Sciences (or similar) and/or 5 years investigative experience.
- Full clean driver's licence and fluent written/oral English.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
