Job Description:
Provide comprehensive EHS support services to achieve business goals, comply with Environmental Health & Safety legal requirements, and protect employees and third parties.
Main Responsibilities:
* Promote and maintain a strong EHS culture and management systems across all Healthcare sites in Ireland.
* Work with the Regulatory & Compliance team to achieve relevant accreditation and assist during external audits.
* Liaise with regulators and third parties during inspections and incidents.
* Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures.
* Maintain EHS training needs analysis, training matrix, and conduct training programs.
* Create and review EHS procedures, and roll out to employees.
* Ensure up-to-date risk assessments and implement standard operating procedures.
* Support incident investigation and compile relevant incident data.
* Complete internal safety and environmental audits.
* Report on assigned KPIs and provide information for management review.
* Monitor and coach management and employees on procedural requirements.
* Support the development and testing of site Emergency Response Plans and Divisional Business Continuity Plans.
* Develop and maintain Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental documentation.
* Consult with the HR department to promote a safe working environment.
* Interpret and apply legislation, industry good practice, and corporate policies.
* Lead in-house health and safety training and induction of new employees.
* Develop and manage an annual Health and Safety plan.
* Assess training gaps and liaise with HR on H & S and CPD training needs.
* Oversee H & S compliance with EU GDPR requirements.
* Review current H & S legislation to comply with EU legislation and regulations.
* Liaise and communicate with regulatory authorities as required.
* Complete customer questionnaires as required.
* Contribute to relevant projects and requests that contribute to the overall development of the organisation.
Requirements:
* 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Third-level qualification in health & safety/environment.
* Full driver's licence and willingness to travel to other Group sites.
* High level of computer literacy including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
* Right to work in Ireland without sponsorship.
