Job Description

Environmental Health and Safety Leader Location: Louth 12 Month contract, Hybrid 4 days onsite Health & Safety: Monitors Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and developments to keep the organization up to date. Liaises with Corporate OSH, the Health and Safety Authority Officers, and others as required. Ensures compliance with the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005 by having a 'competent person' with sufficient training, experience, and knowledge. Schedules and leads site EHS meetings, ensuring completion of assigned actions. Maintains records and analyzes data on accidents and reports for management and external agencies. Provides leadership and guidance in investigating near misses, incidents, and accidents to prevent re-occurrence. Coordinates the preparation, compilation, and review of the Safety Statement. Identifies workplace hazards, assesses risks, and advises on control measures. Conducts regular Safety Inspections to ensure compliance with the Safety Statement. Liaises with those responsible for Emergency Procedures to prevent fire and ensure safe evacuation. Environmental: Manages the site’s environmental legal register and addresses non-conformities with legislation. Develops measurable environmental programs and aligns them with Corporate expectations. Maintains ISO14000 system, prepares for transition to new Corporate database system. Establishes metrics to track environmental performance for continuous improvement. Engages associates in environmental compliance and improvement. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & Education. A minimum of 4 years work experience in a similar role/environment. A suitable 3rd level qualification in Environmental, Safety, Health, and Welfare. #J-18808-Ljbffr
