Job Description

The EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Key duties include developing and implementing EHS programs, managing risks, and promoting a proactive safety culture. The role involves managing incident and accident investigations, overseeing the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) system, and reviewing work permits for high-risk activities. Key Responsibilities: Ensure regulatory compliance and act as the primary EHS contact for authorities. Investigate accidents and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Manage the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program and conduct regular LOTO audits. Review and approve work permits, ensuring safety precautions for activities Conduct risk assessments and maintain risk registers, identifying hazards and implementing control measures. Develop and deliver EHS training programs and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Coordinate and lead EHS audits, manage the closeout of findings, and track KPIs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS standards into all operations and projects. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in, Health & Safety, or related field. 3-5 years of EHS experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors.
