They specialize in waste treatment, recycling, and recovery, turning waste into valuable resources while supporting the circular economy and promoting environmental sustainability. The Role: We are seeking a Environmental Manager to assess waste treatment requests, select optimal techniques, and ensure legal compliance. You will strategically choose treatment installations maximizing contract success and margins. Responsibilities include waste characterization, SWOT analysis, market trend monitoring, translating agreements into operational plans, and maintaining ERP data flow. Key Responsibilities: Assess commercial waste treatment requests to identify suitable techniques based on waste characterization, legal requirements, and internal regulations. Select treatment installations in Europe to maximize contract success and margins. Perform waste characterization and SWOT analysis to determine optimal treatment options. Translate commercial agreements into operational plans and develop legally compliant cooperation agreements with selected treatment installations. Ensure accurate data flow in ERP systems for reliable information access. Collaborate daily with outlets to resolve issues and identify opportunities. Optimise pricing and treatment possibilities, building long-term vendor relationships. Monitor market trends for new treatment techniques and capacities. Proactively explore the outlet market to expand treatment options. Advise on strategic partnerships and future-oriented decisions based on market developments. Document and share knowledge to support commercial requests and optimizations. Manage, coach, and motivate employees to ensure skill development and efficient performance. Conduct performance assessments and interviews to support employee growth. Maintain comprehensive client information files, including correspondence, tenders, and contracts. The Person: Degree in Environmental Science Proficient in IT, preferably with experience using SAP. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to build and maintain long-term vendor relationships. Knowledge of market trends and developments in waste treatment techniques.
