Wills Bros are seeking an experienced and driven Environmental Manager to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that a major project complies with all environmental regulations and sustainability standards.

This is a key role within our company, requiring a proactive individual who can lead environmental initiatives, manage compliance, and contribute to the successful delivery of the project.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the environmental management of a major Civil Engineering project.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Environmental Management Plan (EMPs).
  • Ensure compliance with Irish environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and clients to ensure environmental requirements are met.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including site inspections and audits.
  • Implement sustainable practices and promote environmental awareness across the project team.
  • Manage waste, water, and energy resources effectively to minimise environmental impact.
  • Lead environmental incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide environmental training and guidance to project staff.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on airfield and industrial projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish environmental regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience in conducting environmental assessments and audits.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in environmental management systems (EMS) and related software tools.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and environmental sustainability.
