Role Overview:
The Environmental Officer will ensure that all company operations comply with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring environmental performance, managing compliance programs, and implementing initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, permits, and standards.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 or equivalent.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory bodies.
- Lead initiatives to reduce waste, energy consumption, and emissions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental policies and practices.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business decisions.
- Respond to environmental incidents and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineer or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in environmental management, preferably within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and ISO 14001 standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
