Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant environmental laws and regulations, including air quality, water management, and waste disposal standards. Maintain up-to-date permits and licenses.
- Environmental Monitoring & Reporting:
- Conduct regular environmental audits and inspections of facilities to identify potential issues. Monitor pollution control systems, waste disposal, and hazardous materials. Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory bodies and management.
- Sustainability Initiatives:
- Assist in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation. Promote eco-friendly practices across the organization.
- Waste Management:
- Oversee proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Monitor recycling and reuse programs.
- Training & Awareness:
- Conduct training for staff on environmental policies, waste management, and sustainability practices. Raise awareness of environmental issues and promote responsible behaviors across the workforce.
- Incident Response:
- Support emergency response for environmental incidents such as chemical spills, ensuring swift action to minimize damage and prevent future occurrences.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an environmental management or compliance role.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA, local laws).
