Job Description
Environmental Officer sought to manage environmental activities and sustainability projects at a leading food producer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring site compliance with regulatory licensing requirements.
- Directing site activities towards achieving energy, carbon, water, and waste reduction targets.
- Capturing, analyzing, and reporting data on effluent, energy, water, waste, and sustainability.
- Measuring and verifying energy-related projects.
- Working with cross-functional teams to maintain environmental management and monitoring programs.
- Maintaining and improving ISO50001 Energy Management System and ISO14001 Environmental Management System.
- Completing site energy/environmental audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Developing learning opportunities and training plans for staff.
- Liaising with the group environmental team on sustainability projects and strategies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant 3rd level Environmental/Engineering qualification.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficient use of MS Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills with fluent English.
- The ability to work as both part of a team and independently.
