Job Description

We're the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and servers. Join our diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, and operations managers to help deliver safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity. Our team of environmental experts leads on environmental due diligence and permitting for multiple regions and sites in-development. Key responsibilities include preparing environmental permits, managing consultant deliverables, and leading on environmental due diligence reviews. We collaborate with key AWS teams and manage multiple site-development projects at various stages. A typical day involves reviewing due diligence reports, identifying risks, and working with consultants to prepare environmental permit applications. We are a small, global team but highly-effective, responsible for environmental due diligence, permitting and approvals for all new AWS sites in Asia-Pacific. We are looking for a dynamic and skilled manager to join our existing APAC environmental due diligence and environmental permitting team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering, science, or related field of study.

  • Experience in obtaining environmental permits in APAC for project development and the management of consultant deliverables and quality.

  • Experience of permit evaluations and applications, Environmental Impact Assessments, biodiversity integration, water discharge requirements, and waste management.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experienced in managing and delivering multiple sites/locations in APAC at any one point in time.

  • Highly autonomous and can work with minimal guidance with excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization.

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Travel estimated at 20% in APAC to visit potential sites and sites subject to design and permitting.
