Job Summary: Environmental Permitting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Permitting Specialist to join our EMEA environmental permitting team, responsible for managing multiple regions and sites in development.

About the Role

  • Lead on air permitting and emissions modelling, as well as general environmental permitting experience, such as IED permits and environmental assessment.
  • Manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently, prioritizing and ensuring work is completed in accordance with Amazon standards.
  • Collaborate with partner teams, such as Real Estate, Risk/Due Diligence, Design Engineering, and Legal, to prepare environmental permit applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering, science, or related field of study.
  • Experience with EU air quality legislation and air emissions modelling and assessment in Europe.
  • Experience of EU permit evaluations and applications, Environmental Impact Assessments, biodiversity integration, water discharge requirements, and waste management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing and delivering multiple sites/locations in EMEA at any one point in time.
  • Highly autonomous and can work with minimal guidance with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability across multiple jurisdictions.
