Equipment Engineer Job In Connacht

Job Description

An Equipment Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our medical device manufacturing client based in Galway for a full-time, permanent role.

The Equipment Engineer will manage the maintenance of equipment and be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all equipment through effective maintenance strategies and programs.

THE ROLE:

1. Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive maintenance programs for all equipment.
2. Ensure all installations of equipment are executed correctly and meet the required standards.
3. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to equipment performance and reliability.
4. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of equipment and maintenance procedures.
5. Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and equipment performance.
6. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to address recurring issues.
7. Support delivery of equipment to production & sharing knowledge and information between engineering and automation team.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance management, preferably in Med Device industry.
3. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
4. Proficiency in using CMMS and other maintenance management software.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.
