Equipment Engineer
Team Horizon is seeking an Equipment Engineer for a leading manufacturing company in Mayo.

What you will be doing:
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
- Cooperating and communicating with the project manager and other project participants and collaborating with senior engineers to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project's profitability.
- Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
- Developing specifications for the project's needed equipment.
- Developing and conducting quality inspections during the construction phase of projects.
- Ensuring the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.
- Providing engineering services to the plant to maximize the availability of all site process equipment and utilities.
- Understanding the impact of various materials/components on the lines and the limitations on equipment performance. Working to implement solutions.
- Reviewing component drawings and understanding equipment performance to ensure that both are aligned for maximum outputs with minimal waste.
- Managing capital projects and process improvement.
- Experience with warehouse equipment: conveyors, cranes, robot picking, warehouse management systems, print & apply labeling systems.
- Experience with PLCs, Scada, and preventative maintenance systems.
- All other duties as requested or assigned.
What you need to apply:
- Third level qualification in Engineering or equivalent in the areas of Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering.
- Project management training desirable.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing and engineering, including planning, design, installation, and commissioning in a GMP environment.
- Experience in requirements analysis, design skills, project management, process improvement, technical understanding, documentation skills, and risk management.
- Must have excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience and understanding of high-speed packaging lines.
