Job Description

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for supporting production equipment in a medical device healthcare environment, repairing and troubleshooting automated electro/mechanical equipment failures, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support production equipment in a medical device healthcare environment
  • Repair and troubleshoot automated electro/mechanical equipment failures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation
  • Work proactively to ensure production performance targets are met
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices are followed
  • Support Engineering projects and lead actions assigned to maintenance group
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement projects to drive improvements in OEE

Requirements:

  • Cert./Diploma/Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years experience in a similar technical role within the medical device or similar industry
  • Mechanical experience within an automated manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills and analytical methodologies
  • Flexibility to work different Shift Patterns as the business requires

Additional Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of PLCs, motor drives, pneumatic and hydraulic components
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical ability
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Teamwork abilities – Foster a collaborative culture

Location:

Athlone, Ireland

Remuneration:

  • Salary - €high-reaching dependent on skills and experience plus excellent benefits package
  • Shift Allowance – 25% (12-hour x 3 cycle shift patterns 7am-7pm/7pm-7am)
