Job Description

Morgan McKinley has been exclusively retained by the IRFU to source talent for a business-critical role in the implementation of their new ERP system. The IRFU is embarking on a large-scale systems modernisation project and is currently implementing an Accounts Payable project and a new HR system. The purpose of the role is to drive the ERP implementation project forward, being the link between the business and external assurance / implementation partners. The role is "hands on" working with key functions across the business to understand their needs and ultimately ensuring what is implemented is accepted by users (both IRFU and the 4 Provinces). The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with relevant industry experience and extensive expertise in ERP systems and system integration / implementation. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Partnering with the CFO and Director of Strategy & Technology to define, select, and implement the ERP solution that best meets the needs of the IRFU. Vendor & Partner Management: Collaborating with assurance and implementation partners to ensure seamless delivery of the ERP system, from contract negotiation to final deployment. Project Execution: Leading the design, development, and deployment phases, ensuring that all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget. User Engagement: Acting as the primary liaison between the finance, IT, and operational teams, leading user acceptance testing, data migration, and cutover processes. Change Management: Developing and executing a comprehensive user adoption program, including training materials, workshops, and ongoing support, to ensure a smooth transition and optimal system use. Experience Required: Demonstrated technical experience in ERP and systems implementation, particularly in a leadership role. Qualified accountant with several years of industry experience.
