Introduction My client is a leading Tier One Main Building Contractor with a strong presence across Ireland, known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors including commercial, residential, and industrial. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join their team based in Cork City. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to some of the most prestigious and complex construction projects in the region. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to accurately estimate project costs. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and strategies to optimize project budgets. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standards. Participate in tendering processes, including preparing and submitting tender documentation. Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing. Assist in the preparation of project budgets, cost plans, and risk assessments. Provide detailed reports and presentations to senior management on cost estimates, budget forecasts, and project profitability. Requirements Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably with a Tier One Main Contractor. Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Proficient in estimation software and tools, such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics. Professional accreditation with SCSI, RICS, or equivalent is advantageous. Package €65,000 - €75,000 DOE. Comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, healthcare, and life insurance.
