Mechanical Estimator Mechanical Estimator is needed to join a well-established and progressive Building Services Contractor in Enniscorthy, Wexford. The successful Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for of a range of projects, some of which are detailed below. Please contact Gearoid Hughes for a confidential discussion about this role. Projects: Hospital and Healthcare facilities Residential Apartment Complex Duties: The Mechanical Estimator will be tasked with developing comprehensive tender submissions. Carry out regular assessments of operational practices to uncover potential cost-saving opportunities. Calculate the necessary quantities of materials, equipment, and labor for projects. Evaluate subcontractor proposals, ensuring inclusions and exclusions are correctly noted. Engage in price negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors. Address tender queries and produce detailed tender documentation. Gather and organize pre-project data and relevant information. Develop a schedule for procuring materials and resources required for the project. Generate detailed cost estimates and financial reports. Facilitate the final handover to the project team, ensuring all details are communicated effectively. Requirements: Relevant Degree or Trade background The Mechanical Estimator must have 4 years+ experience working as a Mechanical Estimator on M&E projects Must have experience working in Ireland or the UK Good communication skills and proven track record in taking tenders from pricing through to final client award Ability to work as both part of a team and on their own initiative Strong HVAC experience with a large contractor.
