World leading electronic component manufacturer European role Sell award winning, innovative products Renumeration of up to €100,000 basic salary European Business Development Manager The Role: As the new Business Development Manager you be responsible for driving market growth across Europe on behalf of a leading manufacturer of capacitors. You will profile potential OEMS and manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, industrial, medical and renewable energy in the power electronics sector at engineer level. You will join a small commercial team and will be integral in steering the business R&D and service strategy. You will ideally be based on the West coast of Ireland, but location is negotiable once you are happy to do the international travel. You will work from home when not traveling to Europe to meet with prospective new clients, which would be expected once every two weeks. Your sales process can range from 9 months to 2 years, therefore you will be confident in managing a long lead time and large pipeline. The Company: Established for over 50 years, our client are a leading global manufacturer of energy storage components to the manufacturing sector. They are at the forefront of the market, invest heavily in R+D and consistently win industry awards for product innovation. Additionally, they have an exciting pipeline of new products to launch in the next 12 months. Providing full product training, a structured induction and ongoing development. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: Have sold power electronics to OEMs is essential Ideally you will be degree qualified, with a level 8 qualification in Engineering Proven track record in developing new business with OEMs and manufacturers at a European level Candidates with experience selling electrical components to manufacturing locally and in Europe will also be considered Comfortable with European travel twice per month minimum You will be a seasoned technical sales professional with strong negotiation and new business sales skills at a senior level. You will be driven, sales focused and be comfortable with a large amount of travel throughout Europe. As previously mentioned, this is a pivotal role for our client and growth of the business.
