Job Description

Job Summary: The Executive Assistant to the Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs supports the Provost & VPAA in attending to the larger issues of the University, providing oversight for thirteen schools and colleges, and managing executive communications and faculty-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage executive correspondence and email to University stakeholders and other constituencies.
  • Draft University-wide emails and create presentation materials.
  • Administer processes for Sabbatical, Non-Tenure Track Faculty, Senior Professor, and Promotion and Tenure applications.
  • Oversee the LIUFF Professional Development Fund and create academic affairs calendars, applications, and forms.
  • Manage agendas and meeting minutes for University committees.
  • Oversee annual faculty line request process and partner with deans on faculty hiring procedures.
  • Handle miscellaneous, confidential high-level projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with ability to collaborate and work with diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with higher education structures, governance practices, and budgeting processes.
  • Strong research skills and ability to apply collected information to policy development and revision.
  • Sensitivity, discretion, and ability to effectively delegate issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Share Point is preferred.
