Servisource is currently recruiting a Executive Legal Counsel for a public sector Contract length: 13-month contract Salary: €72,511 /annum Working week: Hybrid - 35h/week Monday to Friday Location:Dublin, Dundalk, Cork, or Sligo Duties and responsibilities: -Assisting and supporting SEAIs Senior Legal Counsel with the timely management of client's varied legal case load. -Providing timely, high quality and user friendly legal and regulatory advice to SEAI on a broad range of issues across client's statutory functions. -Reviewing, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts such as collaboration agreements, research and development contracts, Service Level Agreements, non-disclosure agreements and EU Contracts. -Review of Grant agreements and Procurement contracts (as required). -Providing legal advice on clients general functions and operations, including its programme schemes (both domestic and non-domestic) and dealing with complaints. -Identifying and advising on legal and commercial risks and recommending mitigation strategies which align with clients strategic objectives. -Providing advice to client's Data Protection Officer and Information Compliance Office. -Supporting and assisting on litigation matters including briefing Counsel and instructing external advisers, as appropriate. Knowledge & Skills -Sound knowledge of Contract law, Administrative and Public law or Corporate law and Governance together with practical experience working in a commercial environment. -Excellent interpretive skills with an ability to think strategically and use sound legal judgement on complex issues. -Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate complex information clearly, both internally and externally. -Evidence of working as a self-starter who can work pro-actively review existing processes and identify new approaches where necessary. -Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with attention to detail. -Well-developed negotiation skills. -Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a larger team. -Strong leadership and organisational skills. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS -Candidates must have been called to the Bar in the State and entered on the Roll of Practising Barristers maintained by the LSRA or have been admitted and be currently enrolled as a solicitor in the State. -Minimum of four years' relevant post-qualification experience as a solicitor or barrister, or as in-house counsel. -Experience of advising on administrative and public law, regulatory law, commercial, or corporate law transactions. -A proven track record managing a diverse case load and meeting deadlines. -Proven experience of excellent report writing and high standard of general written and oral communication skills. DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS -Evidence of knowledge and understanding of public service organisations and the governance and regulatory framework within which they operate. -Evidence of knowledge and understanding of relevant Irish legislation and European Law. -Evidence of knowledge and understanding of the GDPR and privacy law. -Strong proactive approach to achieving results, including managing scope, time, risk assessment, cost, and quality.
