The Hotel A South Dublin Institution established in 1828: the Royal Marine Hotel is situated in an elevated site set in four acres of beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking Dublin Bay. The new look 4* star Hotel offers guests a host of services. The Position The Accommodation Supervisor is a key individual in achieving the goals and quality standards of the housekeeping department. The successful candidate must impact all elements of the department from standards of cleanliness to employee morale, budgetary goals, to inter-departmental relations. Taking responsibility for housekeeping department in the absence of the Manager and to assist the Manager on a day to day basis. Must have flexibility to work varied shift hours, full time availability and the right to work in Ireland. The ideal candidate must have: Previous leadership experience in a 3/4 star quality focused hotel in Ireland or UK A strong command of the English language A proven track record of driving standards in a similar role Excellent time management and organisational skills A working knowledge of computers A hands on approach Essential Functions: Maintains excellent standards of housekeeping as per department SOP's. Works closely with the front office department to ensure correct room status is communicated. Ensures all maintenance requests are communicated clearly to the Engineering Team. Deals with all guest request in a professional and timely manner. Attends and actively contributes to scheduled meetings. Hold a daily pre-shift meeting with team prior to their reporting to stations and ensures training is conducted. Ensure that the office in general, linen room, floor storage rooms and trolleys are neat and orderly and are consistent in containing those necessary items essential to the performance of their jobs. Ensure rooms are checked to the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance is reported. Ensure that all checklists are being carried out by the linen porter, public area & night attendant. Relieve other accommodation employee areas as and when necessary Ensures team are aware of all relevant information pertaining to daily events, group functions, and guest activities. Enforces procedures for the acceptance, security and return on guest lost property. Conducts inventories of linen, supplies and equipment as required. Orders and receives supplies so as to maintain adequate inventory levels.
