Experienced Chemistry Analyst
Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is seeking a dedicated and solutions-driven team member to join our team in Galway.
As a leading contract laboratory in Ireland, CLS provides industry-leading sampling and analysis services to clients in various sectors.
This role is a full-time permanent position located at our client site in Galway.
About the Role
- Work in an exciting marine environment on the Galway coastline.
- Provide scientific advice and undertake marine environmental monitoring services.
- Sampling of finfish samples and ensure that sampling targets are met.
- Assist in follow-up investigations and implement legally defensible sampling programs.
Responsibilities
- Implement a strict chain of custody system to ensure the integrity of samples.
- Assist in the work-up of finfish samples and implement legally defensible subsampling.
- Liaise with approved laboratories and assist in sending samples for subcontract analysis.
- Ensure the integrity of samples is maintained and carried out in accordance with procedures.
Requirements
- Analytical chemistry expertise preferably in residue/tissue analysis and instrumental techniques.
- Strong analytical method development expertise and troubleshooting skills.
- A professional, proactive approach and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
