Job Description
Expert Engineer, Accounts and Authentication roles involve creating and operating accounts and authorization services for Activision games. Services are built on top of Kubernetes, Redis, MySQL, Kafka, and deployed to on-premises hardware using Ansible, Puppet, or Git workflows. The team is based in Dublin and Vancouver, and the role requires large-scale, security, and player protection expertise. Responsibilities include designing and building scalable services, improving and extending Demonware services, guiding technical direction, and maintaining and supporting live services. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in a high-volume production service environment, excellent programming skills, and experience with continuous integration, agile methodologies, and Linux/Unix. The role involves providing technical mentorship, collaborating with project managers, and supporting teams to own and operate services.
