Job Description

Extrusion Team Leader (2 Cycle Shift) role at Freudenberg Medical involves supervising extrusion lines to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and waste management objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise extrusion lines to ensure all plant objectives, policies, and procedures are met.
  • Optimise extrusion jobs, including cleaning, set up, sizing, and running schedules, to meet daily targets.
  • Motivate staff through good communications, problem solving, team building, and positive feedback.
  • Co-ordinate and assign daily tasks with Technicians, Inspectors, Operators, etc.
  • Maintain high levels of Extrusion Cleanroom housekeeping and implement 5S activities and standards.
  • Support Continuous Improvements and Lean Manufacturing activities.
  • Ensure necessary training and up-skilling activities are carried out, evaluated, and documented.
  • Ensure work practices and procedures are adhered to and continuously evaluated.
  • Ensure production efficiencies and targets are continuously met and reviewed.
  • Ensure process controls are clearly documented and adhered to.
  • Support new product introductions and change controls.
  • Ensure Work order packs are completed fully and accurately.
  • Liaise with Warehouse Operator regarding stock maintenance and control.

Qualifications

  • Ideally certification in engineering or science and/or 2-3 years experience at a supervisory level.
  • Evidence of communication and strong supervisory skills.
