Job Description

Fabric Technician Location: Ballina, Mayo Duration: 6 Months Contract Overview of the role: As a member of the Veolia Team the Fabric Technician should be actively involved in identifying potential fabric related issues and instigating repair plans to maintain the facility to the highest standard possible. The Fabric technician is also responsible for continued identification of opportunities for improvements. Support the Administration process for all documentation. Day to day of the role: The Fabric Technician will be responsible but not limited to the maintenance and upkeep of the following: External , internal and all site drainage including; Walls, cladding, doors, roofs, drains, gutters, roof drainage and associated piping. Signage Perimeter Fencing Windows (excluding cleaning) Doors Walls, partitions (remedial painting & decorating only) Stairwells Floors Ceilings Toilets, wash basins, showers, & drains Canteen Area Site Drainage system including: All Valves Process drains Foul sewer Understand and implement all relevant Safety procedures Ensure excellent housekeeping and adherence to Ballina Beverages and Veolia safety procedures and policies. Raise Method statements & risk assessments for specific aspects of Fabric Works Maintain Personal Protective Equipment & reorder through Veolia Admin as required Required skills for success in this role: Joinery/Carpentry Trade qualification Good understanding of Construction/Building regulations where applicable Knowledge of Building/Flooring products Ability to work in a team atmosphere, with the ability to recognize and facilitate conflicts through to resolution. Self-motivated with a desire to learn, Good Technical/Construction aptitude You are able to prioritise work, recognizing the need to do thorough and complete work, but at the same time addressing the schedule demands All Team Members are expected to share pertinent information in a timely manner and assist in communicating all problems, and potential problems to the Shift Lead / Site Manager Here at Veolia, we're proud to be known as an equal opportunities employer.
