Seeking a Facilities and Environmental Manager to oversee the upgrading, maintenance, and operation of a plant's support equipment, buildings, and grounds, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and driving sustainability initiatives.

In recent years, the company has enhanced its operational, infrastructural, and technical capabilities, positioning itself at the forefront of digital transformation. They have inaugurated an innovation centre, expanded through new business units, and established greenfield manufacturing operations in Mexico, while partnering with a private equity firm to fuel growth and expansion plans.

The Facilities and Environmental Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and managing CAPEX projects for building upgrades, installations, refurbishments, and new facility equipment.
  • Leading preventive maintenance and repair activities for facilities and support equipment such as chillers and compressors.
  • Supervising and training facilities engineering personnel.
  • Handling budgets and contracts related to facilities maintenance, engineering, and environmental services.
  • Coordinating with production, quality, and safety managers to enhance plant performance and efficiency.
  • Tracking and reporting on environmental metrics such as water usage, carbon footprint, and waste recycling rates.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving an environmental management system in line with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Developing and implementing policies for waste management, recycling, and energy efficiency.
  • Performing environmental audits and inspections to identify and address any issues or risks.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders regarding environmental concerns.

Requirements:

  • Desirable Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a facilities manager or in a similar role within a plastics, injection molding, blow molding, or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations, maintenance, and environmental management.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability in project management.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Salary: €70,000 – €80,000 EUR Basic Salary P/A – Negotiable on Experience
